Meet Our Newest Arrival

Sequest Technologies, Inc. is pleased to announce the arrival of our newest executable, TIER 5.5, to the family.

Please review the ReadMe for enhancements and necessary .sql script updates.

The readme, .sql scripts and application can all be downloaded at http://www.sequest.net/clients/tier_upgrades/.

You must be on TIER 4.1 and higher before upgrading to TIER 5.5. If you need assistance with this upgrade or a previous upgrade, please contact Sequest Support.

Dates Announced User's Conference

The 8th Annual User Conference will be held on October 16th through October 18th. This year's conference will be at a new Location - the Doubletree Hotel in Oakbrook, IL.

Training Classes will be held on Monday, October 15th.

NPI Notification

Health and Human Services (HHS) and Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Providers (CMS) will enforce the federal HIPAA requirements for National Provider Identifiers effective May 2007.

The NPI is a 10-digit, intelligence free numeric identifier that does not carry information about the health care providers, such as the state in which they practice or their provider type or specialization.

Sequest has sent out instructions on how to add the NPI field to your forms as well as your SQL billing views. If you have not received this information, please contact support.

Daylight Savings Reminder

Beginning in 2007, daylight saving time (DST) will be extended in the United States. DST will start on March 11, 2007 and will end on November 4, 2007. This results in a new DST period that is four weeks longer than in previous years.

TIER uses your computer system's clock. According to Microsoft, unless certain updates are applied to your computer, the time zone settings for your computer's system clock may be incorrect during this four-week period. In particular, you must make sure that both your Windows operating system and your calendar programs are updated.
